This precedent study seeks to analyze and communicate the formal organization, hierarchy, geometry, and architectural intent of Peter Zumthor's Therme Vals (Thermal Baths in Vals, Switzerland), a structure that is integrally embedded into a rural hillside. After analyzing Zumthor's project with 2D and 3D diagrams, a large model was constructed to highlight the most important of these diagrammatic explorations.
